What Kid Makes More than a CEO and Still Wears Diapers?

Nope, it’s not Blue Ivy!  I’m sure that’s who you were thinking but Blue Ivy isn’t in diapers still I don’t think.

50 Cent’s son, Sire Jackson, was just given a $700,000 modeling contract and he is still scared to walk down the cat walk by himself.

Just recently for a fashion show, he was startled with all the people and his mother had to carry him down the cat walk.

How cute is that?  Him with him mommy.

Daphne Joy is a really pretty model herself.  Daphne Joy and 50 Cent conceived this beautiful little boy together.

Here is 50 Cent at the fashion show with them both.

Good luck with your modeling job Sire.  We’ll see you soon on plenty commercials with your cuterful little self!

A Mom after 3 snow days of Let it Go:

This is too funny. Every parent gets cabin fever when you know you are supposed to have that break during your day. And then there they are…IN YO FACE!!! All day. Eaten all of the food. Drinking all of the drinks. Taking over your tv. Ugh. A kid’s heaven. A parent’s worse nightmare. Lmbo.

Children Adjusting To DST

Children Adjusting To DST

DST is daylight savings time.  Some people actually are affected by the time change in a negative way.  I remember back in the day, I was really crabby about losing that one measly hour.  My whole attitude would be different in a bad way instead of focusing on the fact that we have more sunshine now and spring is around the corner.

What about our children and DST?  The article link below gives us a way for our little ones to better adjust to DST.

child sleep

https://www.yahoo.com/parenting/how-to-help-kids-adjust-to-daylight-saving-time-112629274552.html

The medical experts per the article say that DST leads to a lot of health issues for people like fatigue and depression.  I use to feel fatigued and I couldn’t understand how when you only lost an hour.  I mean, there were plenty of times, I stayed up and studied all night but I got back on track.  When our kids are already off schedule with sleep, DST can add to that.  My kids use to go to bed like clock work at 8pm every, single night!  For the past 2 years this has changed because they are not involved in anything afterschool and they come in and sneak in a nap so they are up until like 10 before they get tired again.  I mean, my son gets home at 2 something and my daughter at 3 something so they nap out and I can’t stop it because I’m at work.  So this hour loss may affect them more than I’ve realized in the past.

They offer some really good tips to help parents though.  I’m really excited.  They say to number one, try and move bed time back incrementally.  Then they say to make the room dark so that their mind is signaled that it’s time for sleep.

As a parent, I’m always looking for tips that help me and the kids.  I do not know everything and somethings, like this, I never thought about.

Hopefully this can be helpful to some of you too!

Mom Shaves Her Daughter’s Head

Ok, Cocoa Drops, we have a dilemma here.

There have been men giving their sons bald heads or ” Fred Sanford” haircuts to curve bad behavior or bad grades.

The mother in this article decided to shave her daughter’s hair, jail style, because she refused to comb and brush her hair.  So basically she wasn’t keeping up with her personal hygiene and her mother said her hair was nasty and may end up being a rat’s nest.  Eeeeewwww

That is truely disgusting and she should’ve taught her daughter a lesson BUT did she have to shave it all the off?!

image

To me, that’s a bit much.  I would’ve cut it short like a boy but not bald like this.  Now if it was so matted, smelly, and nasty with lice and stuff that’s different.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Toddlewood by Tricia Messeroux

Tricia Messeroux captured my heart after I saw her pics of children dressed up like celebrities after award red carpets like the Golden Globes, Grammys, and the Oscars.

Her creativity is amazing!  She gets people to make almost exact replicas of the stars’ clothes they wore and everything.  Just look!

Snack Bandit

At 2:30am, I get out of the shower and proceed down the hall to check on my toddler to make sure she is asleep. Unfortunately,  she is a night owl just like her parents.  I actually work from home and my office is next door to her bedroom.  During the day,  I keep various snacks on my desks to nibble on. For about a year now, my daughter has been afraid of the dark.  I mean, she freaks out if her nightlight or tv isn’t on in her room at night.

Anyway, imagine my surprise when I run into this chick coming out of my office with 2 wheat crackers in her hand.  My office is pitch black. She’s not freaking out at all.  Has she been playing us for a year just to keep her tv on at night? Hmmmmm. Then she tells me, I wanted some crackers and takes a bite. Sometimes these kids make you wanna just scream.  You gotta love ‘ em!

Share your crazy kids story! I can’t be the only one out here with a “curious” child. Lol.

Co-Sleeping

Co-Sleeping

Medical people come up with a word for everything these days.  And no, co-sleeping does not mean sleeping with your 2 boyfriends, 2 girlfriends, husband and your boyfriend or your wife and her sister.  It is when children are allowed to sleep in the same bed with you instead of their own bed in their own cute, little room.  Why medical people can’t just say that instead of co-sleeping?  I have no idea.

Anywho, I have a friend that allowed her daughter to sleep with her and her husband until he was like 12-14 years old!  Not 2-4 years old, 12-14 years old.  Read this carefully………..THAT IS TOO DAYUM LONG TO HAVE YOUR KID IN THE BED WITH YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE/PARTNER, WHATEVA!!!!!!

Now, as parents, we start out with big, beautiful dreams.  We find out we’re preggers and we go to planning every little detail and the “I wonders” set in.  I wonder what they’ll look like, how they’ll talk, etc.  We buy books and get all babytelligent (if you will) so we think.  We buy a crib and come up with colors for the nursery once we find out the sex of the baby and all.  We go through all that to have them little crumb snatchers steal our beds day in and day out.  You put them in their bed, go to the bathroom, pull back the covers and BAM! there they are on your freakin pillow.  It’s like they’re in the movie Jumper or something.  Their nursery basically becomes a second closet, storage area, or just the place where they go to play.

H and R block says “get your billions back America”, I’m saying “Take your beds back America!!!!”.  LOL

I was once a violator of the BSTOBA (Babies Sleep in Their Own Bed Act), Section 2-56, Article 37 too so I can speak on this subject with expertise.  Violations of this Act for me included lack of sleep, random kicks in the stomach and face, neck cramps, scratches, anxiety from thinking the baby got lost in the cover or fell in between the bed and of course reduced relations activity!  This was me in this pic.  Kids just mistreat you.  They don’t put that in the parenting books and stuff!

co-sleeping2

Basically nothing is yours anymore.  I gave up my womb and body for 10 months in the name of science and that still wasn’t good enough.  They took my bed too.  I did it out of convenience and safety with my first chickadee.  I was a new parent and I had fears of SIDS or that something may be wrong and I didn’t hear her so I thought her sleeping with me would be the best idea.  This lasted off and on until she was 3.5 or 4 until she didn’t want to sleep with ME anymore due to HER independence.  Miss “can’t get her own job” was all of a sudden independent.  Imagine that.  Ha!

I wish I wanted to say there’s no right or wrong answer but there is a right answer.  Children should not sleep with you forever ESPECIALLY when you are married.  I don’t even want to imagine all the GOD awful things that may happen while kids are in the bed with their parents and it’s Mr. and Mrs. Nasty Time.  LOL.  Seriously though, 12 years old is a bit old to be sleeping with parents every single night.  If the child is sick or it’s a thunderstorm, I understand whole heartedly but enough can be enough.  I mean, what are you going to do, when you go to the nursing home, tell them you need bunk beds??? Ijs

I found the article below for those who may be wondering about this topic and need some advice.  There is no bible for parenting but there are great guides.  Make your own from your experience.

3-Year-Old White Belt

This rates in the maximum adorability category if there was one.

Just look at the video below of her reciting her martial arts creed.

I don’t know what’s she’s saying but its too cute.   She’s English so the accent was working against me on top of her being 3 years old.   LMAO
