How many of us dread the day after the 13th of February, right before the 15th? It’s like you dread to even wake up and go out in the world. The florist trucks flood the streets and you already know that Sharon’s (at the office) sweet ass husband is going to send her the biggest bouquet of roses in history like he does every year and you’re like, “why can’t that be me?”. You just wanna take a pin and go around poppin the hell out of people’s balloons to deflate their happiness. LOL
Even if you’re in a relationship, some guys just don’t get it! I’ve heard all the excuses there are.
Excuse 1. You’re supposed to show love everyday.
Excuse 2. Valentine’s Day is just a way for stores to get money.
Excuse 3. I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Excuse 4. Isn’t it leap year where you get me a gift?
The list goes on and one but guess what? I DON’T CARE, I WANT A GIFT!!!!!!!
We’re supposed to love GOD and his son Jesus everyday but we celebrate Christmas. None of us walked on water or turned water into wine and yet we give gifts to one another. Hmmmm.
We’re supposed to love our parents everyday and yet we celebrate Mother and Father’s Day on top of each of their birthdays. Interesting?
YOU live everyday and yet when your birthday comes around, we celebrate.
A day for love is a day worth celebrating if you ask me. I don’t see any problems with that. All the madness on the news and you don’t want to celebrate one of the best things in life. Love made us (ok some of us were made out of lust) but you get my drift.
When you are alone, lean on your friends. Make it a Valentine’s Day where you support how much you love your road dogs and all the crap you’ve all been through.
If you’re in a relationship, exchange gifts. I’m a firm believer that in relationships, your man deserves more than just a brain teaser (HEAD… for those that didn’t get it). LMAO. After you go to dinner or have a candle lit dinner at home, finish with an intense night of sensual sex. Dust them sex toys off and have some fun in the bedroom.
No matter what, don’t let the 14th of February ruin your existence. There’s someone or something to love on that day. Celebrate love in every and any way.
