OG 97.9 Classic Hip Hop is the latest and greatest hip-hop station to come to Atlanta. They play Classic Hip Hop and R&B. This is my kind of music. A lot of this new hip hop is just garbage really. I love hearing actual relevant and clear lyrics. This new stuff is a bunch of auto-tuned and mumbled mess most of the time unless you’re listening to the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Wale, and some others. Now I don’t listen to this station every single day, but whenever I tune in, I get a flashback. This is definitely a station dedicated to the 70’s and 80’s babies. Check out what was played around 8 o’clock this morning.
