The Old, I’m Going Out For a Coke Trick
Black folks know all about this trick but, in the scenario we use to hear about, the man would go for cigarettes or milk. Why milk, I have no earthly idea. I guess the kids needed it for their cereal the next day or his wife was making that cornbread from scratch. LOL.
Anywho, it’s been time for people to keep it real and just say that things aren’t working out and we need to do this or that. To just up and walk away from your family is crazy! Leaving your wife is bad enough. Leaving your kids is disgusting. What did they do for you to desert them and take your love away? Parents that abandon their kids can leave scars that no one can heal and that abandonment can creep up into future relationships with the opposite sex and even the way they relate to their friends. I’m no formal therapist but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out.
It’s a selfish decision and it seems like some men take it so lightly to just leave their family or their kids behind and then they start brand new replacement families. It’s amazing that some men will leave kids and have other kids with women and not even try to have the kids meet or be a part of the original child’s life. Just imagine how many kids are without their fathers and how they long to have a relationship with them.
The guy in this article from The Huffington Post wanted to spend the holidays as a family, one last time, before he knowingly tore it apart. Excuse me sir, we do not need you all up in our family photos to remember, oh yeah, that was the last Christmas we had before daddy dipped on us. The decent thing to do is to be respectful to all parties involved. Give a heads up so that I can tell my boyfriend it’s cool for him to start sleeping over and to leave his toothbrush. hee hee. Just jokes on that part but seriously, families are precious and when you have one, do everything in your power to keep it together!

Eyebrows-Wow!
Now, I’ve been darkening my eyebrows for years but come on now! This is just ridiculously comical. How do you look in the mirror and say, “Ooooooooooo, I’m gonna shut the club down!” looking like this? The only place for make-up like this is during Halloween or a costume party. The only time this is cute is when your baby says “mommy can I do your makeup” but if you did it and went outside….they have this really cute jacket where you hug yourself real tight that you need to invest in. It only comes in white but its washing machine safe. Lmao. I just highlighted some of the pics but the website is below.

It’s a Mann’s World

Has anyone been watching, It’s a Mann’s World at 9pm, Wednesdays on BET? If you haven’t watched it, I encourage you to do so. This is a reality show about the lives of David and Tamela Mann. Both are of Kirk Franklin and the Family and Tyler Perry shows fame. I love this show because it doesn’t come with all that negative drama of shows like RHOA and Mob Wives. It’s rather refreshing to see a family just live, love, and laugh.
Yes, I know Criminal Minds and the new “It” show Empire comes on at the same time, so either DVR it or do like I do and watch it at 10:30pm when it airs again. The Mann’s have a large family that appears on the show as well, 4 kids, a niece that was raised as their child, a daughter-in-law and son-in-law, and 8 grandchildren.
So far, we’ve seen them travel for a singing engagement, heart to heart conversations, almost fire their daughter, Tamela have surgery, sibling discourse, and an annual family athletic competition. It’s fun and light. From the previews of future shows, it even appears that David Sr. will be arrested. I’m not 100% sure that it is not a prank, but I will tune in to find out.

Key & Peele Superbowl Edition
This is hilarious! If you don’t know Key and Peele by now, this is a great introduction. They have a regular show on Comedy Central and its great. They do this skit for college football season but released a version for the pros this time. These names will have you rollin! I was literally at work laughing out loud!!!!
