In case you missed it last night like I did because I don’t have TVOne, the 2015 NAACP Image Awards came on last night. Black – ish was the biggest winner of the night and Taraji P. Henson won Entertainer of the Year. But what I want to talk about is how fabulous and sexy everyone looked on the red carpet. This is definitely a black is beautiful moment. I chose random photos, but you can check out more photos at Young, Black, and Fabulous (ybf.com) and a complete list of winners at eonline.com.

The Huffington Post published an article on Monday titled, The Best Natural Hair Extension And Wig Brands. Period. It immediately intrigued me because 10 years ago wearing a natural looking weave would’ve been taboo. It is a beautiful thing that natural hair has been embraced today by so many. I’ve only worn my hair in its natural state for the past 4 years. I had severe breakage during my pregnancy and kept my hair in protective styles until it was completely natural. I would have loved to purchase one of these clip-ons or extensions my local beauty supply, but Remy hair was the end all, be all and took up most of the inventory. I will definitely be trying out the companies listed in this article because my hair is less dense and some styles I try just don’t give me the fullness that I desire. Check out the article and list of companies here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/02/natural-hair-extension-wig-brands_n_6590998.html
Has anyone tried any of these companies? Did you like it? Are there any others to add to their list?
Happy Hump Day!

My day has officially been made! As a naturalista, Ecostyler is a miracle worker. I’ve tried almost every variation, argan oil, olive oil, clear, etc. Each of those flake in my hair, but my buddy Mr. Protein always gets the job done. I’ve searched a lot of different stores, but never seem to find the protein kind. Well, today was my lucky day at a hole in the wall beauty supply store. Updo, here I come!
